- Lehrer, Leibush
- (1887-1965)American Yiddish writer and educator. He was born in Poland. After living in Belgium from 1906 to 1909 he emigrated to the US. He helped to develop the Shalom Aleichem schools and founded and directed the Yiddish-speaking Camp Boiberik. He taught in the Teachers Seminary of the Shalom Aleichem Folk Institute in New York, and from 1921 to 1947 was director of the Shalom Aleichem Secondary School. He wrote studies of literature, psychology, education and Judaism.
